AMS Pitman Limited (www.amspitman.com ) is a fast growing firm of Aviation & Airline insurance brokers based in the City of London; we act principally for airlines in Russia, the Middle East and Africa. Our work entails advising clients and potential new customers on the availability and pricing of insurance coverage, making presentations to insurers in Lloyds, the London insurance market, European and USA insurers and insurers in the Russian insurance market. In the event that the terms we negotiate are accepted by the airline customer we syndicate the risk and document the coverage to the airline.

After binding coverage we handle all claims incidents that the airline may have and we handle the credit control of collecting premiums from airlines and settling the same to insurers in a prompt and efficient manner.

The City of London is the principle insurance market for major global risks around the world, and insurance broking is one of the major invisible earnings sectors for the British economy.

The insurance broking industry is a highly regulated part of the financial community in this country and all brokers are regulated and authorised by the Financial Services Authority (www.fsa.gov.uk ) our staff will be required to be knowledgeable on the FSA requirements for trading, and will be expected to embrace the requirements for ongoing training to improve the overall excellence of our service to and responsibilities to our clients and to the insurance markets we transact business with.

We are actively seeking new staff that has the following qualities

• Have university graduate status
• Have language skills with a fluency in at least two languages including English
• Have the application to learn new skills to be able process insurance documentation and input into our accounting system complex billing for premiums to customers and payments out to the syndicated insurers who have subscribed for the policies we have arranged
• Have good inter-personal skills and be confident when handling negotiations as our staff will need to liaise with insurers both by phone and face to face as brokers in the Lloyds of London market and at insurers underwriting offices
• Be willing to enrol at the company’s expense with the Chartered Insurance Institute (http://www.cii.co.uk/cii.aspx ) to obtain qualifications as an insurance broker. These courses are provided outside office hours.
• Be well organised and have an ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Be willing to take on all tasks that are required by the senior members of the team to aid in the efficiency and processing of our busy and demanding workload.
